EMMY-WINNING TELEVISION PRODUCER, RENOWNED TATTOO ARTIST TEAM TO INK DEAL FOR NEW REALITY SHOW

New Series “Keith’s Tattoo Turnaround” Follows Award-Winning Tattoo Artist Keith Ciaramello as He Overhauls the Tattoo Industry, One Failing Shop at a Time

(April 2, 2012) – LOS ANGELES – Emmy-winning television producer Conrad Ricketts (Extreme Makeover: Home Edition), producing partner and TV host David DiVona, and world-renowned tattoo artist Keith Ciaramello have teamed up to create the new reality series, Keith’s Tattoo Turnaround. The partners are in the process of taking the show out to buyers.

Keith’s Tattoo Turnaround follows the award-winning Ciaramello as he infiltrates the increasingly popular yet often misunderstood world of tattooing, taking two decades’ worth of inking experience on the road to help failing shops clean up their acts and turn their businesses around. With his New York-bred, no-nonsense attitude, and strict moral code, the award-winning Ciaramello brings to bear his immense talent and passion for tattooing, and has no problem exposing deficiencies in cleanliness, organization, and even the lack of some basic tattoo skills critical to ensuring clients’ safety and protection.

The show also gives viewers a glimpse into the true art of tattooing, with some of the finest artists in the world making appearances.

Executive Producer Conrad Ricketts said, “Keith’s level of passion and artistic talent are simply unmatched in the tattoo world. When you combine that with his intense work ethic, commitment to safety, and an economic climate that’s battering small businesses, the result is some pretty volatile and compelling television that goes beyond anything we’ve seen before in ‘tattoo TV.’ We can’t wait to introduce buyers – and viewers – to Keith and his amazing work.”

Ciaramello has tattooed myriad well-known musicians, actors and athletes, including NBA and NFL players, and WWE wrestlers. He has won hundreds of tattooing awards from conventions all across the US, and been featured in every major tattoo magazine in the country. Ciaramello began his career creating flyer art for 1980s metal bands, but always felt his art had a higher calling. In 1993, he became a tattoo apprentice, and over the last 19 years has cultivated a reputation as one of the best photorealist tattoo artists in the world. He’s also a successful entrepreneur with a series of top-selling instructional DVDs, and his shop Kustom Kulture Ink, thriving in New York for more than a decade.

Conrad Ricketts is a five-time Emmy nominee and two-time Emmy winner for his work on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. With the series from the beginning, he was responsible for finding the first family featured on the show, which set the tone for the entire franchise. An NAACP Award winner, Rickets is also an Academy Award nominee, and a Producers Guild Award nominee. He has produced hundreds of hours of television, and is currently executive producing the series Sons of the Fallen, featuring the journeys of 25 boys and young men grappling with the common loss of their fathers in military action in Iraq and Afghanistan. The series is currently airing on Hulu.

David DiVona was a founding member of the rock band Lint, and was also the host of The Last Adventure, developed for Travel Channel. DiVona is the creator of Keith’s Tattoo Turnaround.
